God and religion, a humongous topic!
Is there a God, might be or not, it depends upon the belief
of people. God is one, and it’s the belief of mind and heart! The act of
proselytism, the religious conversion is mostly because of economic welfare,
thrust and few on believes.
As long as humans imagine and could see God as idols, Allah,
Jesus and so on, where they couldn’t go beyond and see him as Love, Tenderness
and Dignity, then it is apparent that the end state is proselytism.
They believe the changeover would change their economic
problem mostly and they tend to believe that their new form of GOD would solve
all their problems. When they get to into yet another problem, or when their
problem continue to exist, the resultant factors would be depression or
proselytism again.
The real problem is not GOD, the problem is people’s poverty
and social discrimination.
As per Maslow’s theory of motivation, man is a social
animal, his mind oscillates between needs and wants. When his needs for food,
shelter and basic security are fulfilled, he moves towards his wants of luxury,
status, and finally the transcendence! The people who are getting converted are
those who are the weaker sections where they are struggling for their basic
needs as other religions sheds money like hell.
There are others who shift to get rid of social discrimination and they grave
for more. These people are mentally weak in their believes! And ofcourse there are few Christians, for
instance adapt themselves to Hinduism, one because their basic and social needs
are fulfilled and they grave to know more about life and death and its meaning,
it is Hinduism for that matter has rich in source and in depth explains about
life and death, these are people who wanted to achieve transcendence stage.
Hinduism doesn’t preach conversion, all who acts for the
welfare of others and treats fellow humans with dignity, respect and tenderness
are termed as Hindus though not by birth but by their act! The so called Hindus
fall to the prey of proselytism because of the severe caste and creed
discriminations or the disparity dictated by the varnas. These varnas paves way
for the suppression of the poor by the so called upper classes, namely the Brahmans
and the Kshatriyas. Christianity focused on conversion and increasing their
majority by several ways and means, which includes shedding money and
brainwashing people in India. If somebody really care about Hinduism, then
their focus should be on ensuring equality to all sects of Hindus, removing
caste based politics and ensuring economic, safety and security needs to all
people.
Eradicate the caste based discrimination minimum, allow people
to do rituals in temples by bringing that as a one more stream of education for
those who wish to learn and do irrespective of castes. Don’t treat people
indifferently by education, colour, property, political power, money, and
muscle power, rather eradicate the evil of liquor and make good and quality
education as a mandate to all.
When we complete or initiate these, we need not bother about
proselytism, the Hindus will remain as Hindus because after all these deeds,
they are transformed to the real Hindus filled with light and humanity! Until
then proselytism will continue and there is no point in cribbing. The so called
cultural protectors of RSS and the political power behind it may use money and
other means to impose Hinduism and stop proselytism, but what’s the use? They
should rather use all their abundance (Money and political powers) to eradicate
social disparity!
Hinduism it not a religion but an act of humanity if you
forego that Varnas and adapt to Hinduism’s real preaching of humanity!
God is
not a religion, but only your belief!
